I'll always protect you
20 year old Claire Richards giggled as her friend H tried to tickle her. She shrieked when he picked her up. Giggling she got away and ran across the dance studio they were in.
"Mark! help!" she screecheed running behind her boyfriend.
"whats up?" Mark asked.
"Help me." she laughed as H tried to grab her.
" ypu guys! Come on. Dance time. Today we're going to go over 5,6,7,8, Summer of love,Buzz,and Better best forgotton."Paul said.
Claire and her friends sighd. Their band Steps had a sellout tour coming up.
"thats what that song is. Better Best Forgotton." She laughed and the others joimed her.
"Thats enough guys" Paul said "Lets get started"
Claire sighed and got into,place eyeing H, who was making faces at Lisa trying to distract her from the dance. Claire smiled and H winked.
"Right then Claire. Claire Richards, LIsa Scott Lee, and Ian Watkins. Pay attention! What do you have to say for yourselves? Youre distracting Faye and Lee as well."
"sworee Paul" the 3 Steppers said laughing.
"yeah right" He said " Come on 15 minutes without any interuptions ok?"
"Alright" The 3 steppers said shooting michevious looks at one another.
"Thank you. Lets start with Buzz" Paul said clapping his hands. "Remember you 3, Pay Atention"
"We know" was his answer.
>10:30 that evening<
"Mark?" Claire asked, comming into the kitchen.
"Yeah?"
"Whats wrong? Your so quiet"
"Its nothing Claire"
"It's something" Claire said.
"You really want to know? What is going on between you and H ?" he asked
"Nothing's going on" Claire said
" Something is. You and H are always joking around and hugging eachother. I want to know whats going on!!!" Mark roard slamming his fist on to the counter.
Claire jumped, startled by Marks tone of voice and scared of what might happen next.
"Theres nothing going on Mark. You know H and I are close. We always have been" Claire said quietly keeping her eyes downward.
Marks cold face softend. "I know sorry i guess i'm just tired." He gave her a hug and she rested her head on his shoulder.
"You know I wouldnt cheat on you Mark. I'm not like that." Claire whispered.
"Ok" Mark said.
"I'm going to go to bed. I'm shattered."
"Alright.I'll be up soon. Goodnight Claire"
"Good night."
NEXT MORNING
Claire opened her eyes as sunlight streamed into her room.
"Good morning" she heard Mark say.
She sat up in bed."Morning" she yawned
"You have a rehersal today?" Mark asked.
"Yeah. 1:30."Claire said getting out of bed.
"Does Paul want me and the other dancers there?"
"Nope. Just me,H,Claire,Lisa and Lee"
"Ok.Well I'm going to go out with a friend of mine this afternoon.
"Sure." Claire pulled on a pair of jeans and A fluffy pink sweater.
"I should be home by 4 a few college friends of mine are in town."
"Cool. Take your time. If Tim's in a bad mood, I won't be home until 6" Claire said.
Claire gave her boyfriend a kiss. "The girls and I are going shopping in a bit"
"Claire you have enough clothes as it is" Mark said.
"I knpw, but its still fun!!" she headed downstairs.
SHOPPING WITH FAYE AND THE GANG
"You don't mind if we join you?" H asked.
"No, WE couldnt leave you and Lee out now could we?" Claire said.
Lisa and faye came up with their arms loaded witrh shopping bags.
"Hey mates!!" Faye said plooping down on a bench.
"Hi!!" Claire and H said.
"Wheres Lee?" faye asked.
"He went to athletes World for a new pair of shoes."
"oh" Claire said.
"Wheres Mark, Clara?" Lisa asked.
"A few of his college mates are in town so he's going to vist with them today." She said
"Cheers then!" Lisa said
"Hey Claire bear?" H asked.
"Yeah?"
"Do you have my tour clothes at your house?"
"Yep" Claire said. She had taken some of H's clothes on thier tour a while back.
"Do you ind if I come over and get them later?"
"Of course not!!" Claire said.
"Thanks"
"Hey guys we have like a half hour before rehersals start. Lets get something to eat? I'm hungry" Faye said.
"Yeah I'm starved" H said
"H you dont stop eating. I swear if Steps wasnt your job eating would be." lisa said.
"Lise don't joke about that. Eating is probably on his resume. " Lee said.
"Oi! I am here you know!!" H gave a hurt look.
" They're only messing with you H" Claire said giving H a hug.
